He needed a place to talk about his guilt and they were the ones talking about it? For whatever reason he didn’t have anywhere to go. I’d rather him seek out “comfort” than sit and internalize that guilt /unpopular opinion.
That’s fair, but just the notion that he apparently didn’t have anywhere to go when he has support through his boyfriend and his father, especially, really struck a nerve with me. Unless he just didn’t want to be comforted by anyone/want anyone’s input on how to cope…which I get. But like Shannon mentioned, it’s strange how his attitude towards prayer changed so drastically when you compare Grilled Cheesus to this episode and that’s probably the thing that bothers me the most (because I actually do understand closing yourself off from people you love and just wanting to deal with something on your own).
